The Government today (27.04.17) lost a court case to pause the publication of their draft report into poor air quality. This is good news as the UK has for far too long been refusing to improve the quality of air across the country – including in Liverpool – despite various EU warnings and directives.
Engage raised this as an area of serious concern in 2015 as part of our Liverpool Air Project and we held a series of public meetings about the issue and organised the Vent! Liverpool Air Quality Festival. We continue to publish news about air pollution in an effort to keep the public informed about the high number of deaths related to poor air quality.
