In an important article in The Guardian newspaper (03.06.16) it was revealed that the UK government has been working hard to lower the proposals to halve deaths from poor air quality across Europe. Last year in Liverpool 239 people are said to have died from air-related pollution and the figure for the whole of Europe is in the thousands. It looks as if it wasn’t for the EU this country would probably have little or no limitations on air-pollution.
